Dragon Ball Super manga returns December 21st with New Arc focusing on Trunks and Goten

The long-running Dragon Ball Super manga hasn’t had a new chapter since August and we finally have news of its return! The official Twitter for the series revealed that the continuation of the Dragon Ball series will return to V Jump starting December 21st. The new arc will focus on Goten and Trunks and will take place before the events of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film. Along with the announcement we got our first look at our boys in their SUPER (hero) Saiyan costumes.

If you aren’t in the know, Dragon Ball Super retells the story of the DBS anime (with some changes) and continues the story. The story is written by Akira Toriyama himself and the art by Toyotarou so everything that happens is canon.

View the upcoming new look for Goten and Trunks below and let us know, if are you excited about this prequel to the Dragon Ball Super Heroe movie.

About Dragon Ball Super:

Having defeated Buu, Goku is starting to get bored with his life on Earth. His wife, Chi-chi, wants him to get a job, but all he wants to do is train and fight stronger enemies. Elsewhere in the universe, the God of Destruction, Beerus, and his attendant Whis are traveling from planet to planet in search of food and entertainment. After blowing up some hapless victims, Beerus is reminded of a man from his dreams with the moniker “Super Saiyan God,” or something like that… The God of Destruction sets his sights on Earth to track down this mysterious man! Maybe this will give Goku something to do.
