It must be Tokyo Revengers season!! We just reported on the news of the special preview event and new cast members, but now we’re getting the official trailer for season 2 of Tokyo Revengers! The anime is still made by Liden Films thus the upcoming series looks exactly the same as its season 1 predecessor so if you were expecting any big upgrade in animation you will be let down. Personally, I’m still very excited about the release, the upcoming Christmas Showdown arc has been hyped up for far too long to not be excited.
The new season doesn’t only bring a new arc, but it will, unfortunately, bring in a new voice actor for the fan favorite Drakken. Masaya Fukunishi (Gege from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger) will be replacing Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Ban from Seven Deadly Sins). This decision was made after it came to light that Suzuki allegedly had an affair. Affairs are taken very seriously in Japan and people normally step down from any projects they’re working on when they come to light, but Suzuki is married to mega-hit pop star LISA (who is best known for performing the Demon Slayer season 1 opening) so this time it was an even bigger deal.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is all set to release on January 2023, let us know below if you’re still excited about the return of everyone’s favorite, Tokyo Manji Gang!
