Yu Yu Hakusho is Getting a New Blu-Ray Box Set & 2 New Ova for its 30th Anniversary

Tell all your friends, the anime with the best tournament arc of them all is getting a new box set! Yu Yu Hakusho returns with a 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray box set! The box set releases January 31st and will include two new OVAs titled “Two Shots‘ and “All or Nothing“. For the first time ever the two original video animation episodes will be getting an English dub from all of the original Funimation dub members you love and know.

The two OVAs were originally released at a special screening event on October 2018 and later shipped with the anime’s 25th anniversary Blu-ray Box collection in the same month. It adapts the bonus chapter from the seventh volume of the manga (Two Shot) and the second to last chapter of the series (All or Nothing).

The set has a list price of $119.98 and contains all 112 episodes of the original series!

The original manga by Yoshihiro Togashi was originally published from 1990 to 1994 in Weekly Shonen Jump and went on to continue that serialization in the English version of Viz Media’s Shonen Jump in 2002. The anime adaptation aired from 1992 to 1995 and has since had two films and two ovas. The series has even gotten so big it had a stage play and will be getting a live-action series produced for Netflix.

About Yu Yu Hakusho:
Follow Yusuke Urameshi, a teenage delinquent who is killed in a car accident while trying to save a child’s life. Yusuke is then put to the test by Koenma, the son of the ruler of the afterlife Underworld. Once Yusuke pasts these tests he is awarded the title of “Underworld Detective”. As the manga goes on longer it begins to shift from its paranormal mystery-solving to martial arts battles and its world-famous tournament.
