Danzai Lock, a manga where if you kill someone, you are in turn sentenced to death yourself. Once imprisoned you find yourself sorted into one of Six Prison Districts, each one having a unique economic system. We follow a man named Yushin, who calls himself a chaplain and wears the clothes of a priest, once he disembarks the steam train into one of these districts he meets a man with a sword called Kunoji.
That’s the story Yasuko Kobayashi is bringing in their new manga. Together with artist Saki Nonoyama, the series will launch in Kodansha’s Comic Days this Tuesday 9/27. So look forward to Danzai Lock (Six Wards of Punishment)
Kobayashi is best known for being the head writer for the Witchblade Takeru manga (based on the Witchblade anime), but she’s actually been writing since 1996 with Hell Teach Nube being her first work, she’s since worked on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Attack on Titan, and Dororo, among others.
Saki Nonoyama has previously done art for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Terra Formars, and Emma.
