One Piece Film Red is FINALLY coming to the US!! Well, United States and Canada… and Australia and New Zealand!! #1 #1 #1!! Crunchyroll has announced that starting on November 3rd for those in Australia and New Zealand, followed by November 4th for the United States of America and Canada we can finally see the newest iteration in the One Piece movie line.
Best of luck to people who plan on seeing this film opening night as the ticket sales in Japan have been absolutely bonkers with One Piece Film Red officially becoming the highest grossing film at the Japanese box office as of this year. This puts One Piece Red in 14th place on the all-time charts overtaking Jujutsu Kaisen 0! The film has sold more than 9.94 million tickets. So be prepared as you attempt to see the movie when it drops this upcoming fall.
Crunchyroll and Toei Animation will premiere both subtitle and dub versions of the film in the United States and Australia, offering a version for every type of fan. For One Piece fans in Australia, you are in luck as you can view the subtitled premiere at Crunchyroll Expo Australia on Friday, September 16th. The North American premiere will follow shortly at New York Comic Con, Thursday, October 6th. Which, who knew NYCC was such a hub for anime premieres with Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War getting the same treatment.
One Piece Film Red is the 15th One Piece movie, having originally been released August 6th 2022 in Japan. The film was announced in commemoration of episode 100’s release, thanks to Eiichiro Oda who served as producer and supervisor for the film.
